Erdogan was Ready to Join Iran in War, Claims Trump

In a significant and explosive claim, United States President Donald Trump has alleged that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was fully prepared to join Iran in the ongoing conflict against the United States and Israel.

During a conversation with journalists at the White House, President Trump asserted that he personally intervened to prevent Turkey’s involvement. According to Trump, he requested that Recep Tayyip Erdogan stay out of the conflict, a request to which the Turkish President reportedly agreed.

“President Erdogan was one of the primary candidates to enter the war on Iran’s side, as he does not like Israel at all,” Trump stated.

The U.S. President emphasized that this personal diplomatic effort was instrumental in de-escalating potential Turkish participation. As a gesture of respect toward the Turkish leader, Trump also confirmed his intention to attend the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara in person.

Furthermore, President Trump signaled a potential softening of stance regarding Turkey’s defense procurement requests. When asked by reporters about Ankara’s interest in acquiring F-35 fighter jets and necessary engines for its domestically produced aircraft, Trump hinted at a positive response, noting that he would likely take steps that would satisfy Turkey.

This revelation comes amidst a tense geopolitical landscape in the Middle East and highlights the complex diplomatic balancing act between the United States and its NATO ally, Turkey.
