Trump’s Portrait Featured on New Commemorative U.S. Passport

U.S. President Donald Trump has unveiled a special commemorative design for a new U.S. passport to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence. The limited-edition passport features a prominent image of Trump with a stern expression and is expected to be issued in limited numbers.

On Friday, Trump shared a preview of the passport on his social media platform, Truth Social, alongside the caption: “The new United States passport.” The sample design also includes the message, “Welcome, but behave yourself.”

The commemorative passport is being presented as part of the United States’ 250th Independence Anniversary celebrations. It prominently displays a portrait of Trump standing beside a desk with his signature visible on the page. The background features the text of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, reinforcing the patriotic theme of the document.

The image is believed to be based on a photograph taken by White House photographer Daniel Torok. Another page of the passport includes an illustration depicting the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, along with the inscription “United States of America 250,” commemorating the nation’s historic milestone.

The White House also shared the same design on social media, referring to it as the “Patriot Passport.”

Earlier, the U.S. Department of State announced that the commemorative passport would be available beginning July 6. However, the White House has not provided additional details regarding the issuance process.

According to a State Department official who spoke in April, the Trump-themed passports will only be available through in-person appointments in Washington, D.C., and will be distributed while limited supplies last.

The initiative is also being viewed as part of broader efforts to increase Trump’s personal branding across government-related materials. In recent months, banners featuring Trump’s image have appeared outside several government buildings, while the U.S. Treasury Department has reportedly indicated that his signature may also be added to the one-dollar bill in the future.

If implemented as planned, Trump would become the first sitting U.S. president to have his image featured on an official U.S. passport issued to American citizens.
