The government has directed all CNG filling stations across the country to remain open 24 hours a day for 13 consecutive days to ensure smooth passenger movement during **Eid-ul-Azha travel.
The decision was taken to ease travel pressure and improve fuel availability ahead of the Eid holiday rush.
Official Instruction
According to a letter issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division to the Petrobangla Chairman, all CNG filling stations will operate round the clock from May 21 to June 2.
This includes:
- 7 days before Eid
- 5 days after Eid
During this period, all stations will remain fully operational without interruption.
Eid Holiday Schedule
The government has also declared a seven-day public holiday for Eid-ul-Azha.
- Government and semi-government offices will remain closed from May 25 to June 1.
In addition, garment factories will observe staggered holidays depending on their production schedules for Eid.

Authorities said the move aims to:
- Ensure smooth transportation during Eid travel
- Reduce fuel-related congestion at filling stations
- Support uninterrupted passenger movement across the country
