Tarique Rahman Visits Bogura for First Time as Prime Minister, Extensive Development Agenda Unveiled

Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman, has embarked on his first official visit to his home district Bogura since assuming office. He departed from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka at 6:10 AM on Sunday via road, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman.

According to the official itinerary provided by the Prime Minister’s Office, he is scheduled to reach Bogura Circuit House at around 10:30 AM.

At 11:00 AM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly constructed building of the District Bar Association at the District Judge Court premises. He will also formally launch the nationwide e-Bail Bond (online bail submission) system from the District and Sessions Judge’s conference room.

Later, he will arrive at the Bogura Municipal Corporation building and inaugurate the newly established Bogura City Corporation at around 11:30 AM.

Following official programs, the Prime Minister will visit his ancestral home at Bagbari village in Gabtali upazila. Around 12:45 PM, he is expected to visit the Ziaur Rahman Rural Hospital and inaugurate the Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign.

At 1:30 PM, he will formally launch the Family Card distribution program at the Bagbari Shaheed Zia Degree College ground.

At 1:45 PM, he will inaugurate the excavation work of the Choukir Daho canal, followed by a visit to his ancestral home, Ziabari, at around 2:30 PM.

At 4:00 PM, the Prime Minister will address a public rally as the chief guest at the historic Altafunnesa Playground in Bogura, organized by the district BNP.

Later in the evening, at 5:45 PM, he will inaugurate the newly built Bogura Press Club and also launch the reconstruction work of Baitur Rahman Central Mosque.

At 6:00 PM, the Prime Minister is scheduled to depart for Dhaka by road. On his way back, he will make a brief stop at the Rural Development Academy (RDA) in Bogura.

This visit marks a significant moment as the Prime Minister undertakes a comprehensive development-focused tour of his home district, covering infrastructure, healthcare, digital governance, and social welfare initiatives.
