President and Prime Minister Pay Tribute at National Martyrs’ Memorial on Independence Day

On March 26, Independence Day, President Md. Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman paid deep tribute to the nation’s heroic martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Martyrs’ Memorial.

After placing wreaths at the altar, a solemn tune was played on the bugle. The President and the Prime Minister stood in silence for a while to honor the memories of the martyrs. Following the President’s tribute, the Prime Minister, accompanied by members of the cabinet, also paid homage.

After the ceremony, both the President and the Prime Minister signed the visitors’ book and exchanged greetings with foreign diplomats present সেখানে.

Chief Justice also paid tribute, accompanied by other বিচারপতিরা. Later, the chiefs of the three armed forces, freedom fighters, their family members, and families of those injured and নিহত in the July আন্দোলন also offered their respects.

Foreign diplomats, as well as various political and social organizations, also placed floral tributes at the memorial.
