Independent candidate Hasan Mamun has congratulated Nurul Haque Nur, a parliamentary candidate in Patuakhali-3 (Galachipa-Dashmina), declaring him the winner.
On Thursday (February 12) at around 9:00 pm, Hasan Mamun shared a post on social media stating: “Congratulations VP Nurul Haque Nur, newly elected Member of Parliament, Patuakhali-3.”
However, according to district returning office sources, only two polling centres’ results have been officially announced so far. In the preliminary count, Nurul Haque Nur, contesting with the truck symbol, received 1,250 votes, while independent candidate Hasan Mamun, contesting with the horse symbol, secured 1,293 votes.
