Home Ministry Reports Irregularities at 486 Polling Stations, 59 Fake Voting Cases and 3 Ballot Box Snatchings

Incidents of disorder have been reported at 486 polling centres across the country during the ongoing 13th National Parliament election and referendum 2026.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Emergency Coordination Cell, as of 2:00 p.m. on Thursday (February 12), a total of 59 cases of ballot fraud and three incidents of ballot box snatching were recorded nationwide.

The coordination cell reported that polling agents were forced out in 14 locations, while clashes between supporters of different candidates occurred in 135 places across the country.

Additionally, six candidates were reportedly assaulted, voters were obstructed from casting ballots in 18 instances, and four incidents of arson were recorded. Authorities also identified 33 cases of negligence by election officials.

Despite these incidents, voting continues across the country.
