Bangladeshi Lawyer Offers 50% Legal Fee Discount for Brazil Fans During World Cup

A Bangladeshi lawyer has announced a unique initiative to support Brazilian football fans, offering a 50 percent discount on legal services during the FIFA World Cup period, sparking excitement among supporters in the district.

The initiative was announced by Advocate Golam Mostofa, a member of the Rajbari District Lawyers’ Association, who said the move is aimed at encouraging and engaging football fans, especially supporters of the Brazilian national team.

Golam Mostofa, a resident of Sholabaria village in Narua union under Baliakandi Upazila, said he has been a passionate supporter of Brazil since childhood.

“I have loved football since my early days. I have been supporting Brazil since 1998 after watching players like Pelé, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho,”
he said.

He further added:

“Brazil players have something special that others don’t. I believe Brazil will become champions this time as well.”

Discount for Brazil Supporters

The lawyer announced that during the World Cup, clients who support Brazil will receive legal assistance at half the regular fee.

“Since I am a lawyer, I will offer legal services at 50 percent fee to Brazil supporters who come to me during the 2026 World Cup.”
he stated.

Response from Fans

Local Brazilian supporters have welcomed the initiative, calling it a creative and fun gesture.

Supporters, including Rakibul Islam Rony and Mohammad Sajib, said that fans who love Brazil also know how to show generosity and appreciation.

Verification of Supporters

When asked how he would verify whether a client is a Brazil supporter, Golam Mostofa said it would be based on conversation and interaction.

He added that the decision would be applied carefully after proper assessment.

The unusual announcement has already generated buzz among football lovers in the area, highlighting how global sporting events continue to inspire local cultural expressions.
