Prime Minister Salahuddin Ahmed visited the Simanta Sambhar cinema hall in Dhanmondi on Friday evening to watch the newly released film ‘Banalata Express’ with his daughter, Zaima Rahman.
The Prime Minister arrived at the venue from his Gulshan residence around 7:00 PM. A close source confirmed that the visit was a private family outing. Upon his arrival at Dhanmondi’s Jigatala area, security measures were significantly tightened to ensure safety. Despite the heavy security presence, a wave of excitement was visible among the general audience and local residents gathered near the multiplex.
‘Banalata Express’ has emerged as one of the most talked-about films this Eid season. Directed by Tanim Noor, the movie is a cinematic adaptation of the famous novel ‘Kichukkhon’ Written by Protected_User_5526d735 legendary author Humayun Ahmed. The film features an ensemble cast including Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Sariful Razz, and Sabila Nur.
Industry insiders suggest that the Prime Minister’s public appearance at a local theater serves as a significant boost for the Bangladeshi film industry, which has seen a resurgence in quality content and audience engagement recently.
