Dr. Zubaida Rahman Meets US Special Envoy Charles J. Harder in Washington, DC.

Dr. Zubaida Rahman, wife of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, a prominent physician and social worker, held a meeting with US Special Envoy Charles J. Harder on Tuesday, March 24, in Washington, DC. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit at the US Department of State.

The discussion focused on the development of future generations, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children, and sustainable progress in the fields of education and public health. Special emphasis was placed on family-based support programs, children’s nutrition and mental development, and building an inclusive society through cooperation.

The two-day summit, organized by the White House, was inaugurated by US First Lady Melania Trump. During the summit at the US Department of State, Dr. Zubaida Rahman joined spouses of heads of state, first ladies, first gentlemen, and other leaders from 45 countries worldwide.

The meeting was attended by notable personalities including Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan, Professor of marketing at Dhaka University; Bangladesh Ambassador to the US, Tarique Md. Ariful Islam; the Prime Minister’s senior medical officer Dr. Shah Muhammad Aman Ullah, female entrepreneur Ms Mehnaz Mannan; and Deputy Chief of Mission of the US D.M. Salahuddin Mahmud.
