Dhaka-8 candidate of the 11-party alliance and chief coordinator of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP), Nasiruddin Patwary, has launched a new website named Chandabaz to make it easier for citizens to report extortion and for authorities to take legal action.
The website was officially launched on Wednesday afternoon (February 11). Users can visit chandabaaj.com to submit complaints directly. Since its launch, the platform has already begun receiving reports from across the country.
According to a post on Nasiruddin Patwary’s Facebook page, 371 complaints have been submitted so far. All complaints will be verified, and appropriate legal action will be taken where necessary.
Patwary urged citizens, saying, “If you witness any extortion in your area, immediately file a complaint with proper information and evidence. This will make it easier to identify the offenders and take legal action against them.”
He added, “In the Bangladesh we envision, there is no place for extortionists.”
