The National Citizens’ Party (NCP) has reinstated Joint Convener Sarwar Tusher to all organizational activities and withdrawn the previously issued show-cause notice against him. The announcement was confirmed late Saturday night by NCP Joint Secretary (Office) Saleh Uddin Sifat in an official statement.
Earlier, on 17 June 2025, Sarwar Tusher had been issued a show-cause notice (Memo No. NCP/Center/Show-Cause/2025-2026/05) over allegations related to moral misconduct in private communications. He submitted a written response to the party’s Convener, General Secretary, Political Council, and Disciplinary Committee, addressing all queries raised in the notice.
The party conducted a thorough internal review, taking into account sensitivity toward women and the principles of justice, before arriving at a decision. During the two-month period following the notice, Tusher voluntarily abstained from all organizational activities, including the nationwide July March, representing NCP at the National Unity Commission, media appearances, and participation in Narsingdi’s march.
Following careful consideration of his written response and supporting evidence, the NCP has fully restored Sarwar Tusher to all party activities, and the show-cause notice has been officially withdrawn.
