Disney Announces ‘Ice Age: Boiling Point’ After Nearly a Decade-Long Break

After almost a decade, Disney has officially announced the sixth installment of the globally popular animated franchise “Ice Age”, bringing back fan-favourite characters Manny, Sid, and Diego in a brand-new adventure.

The new film has been titled “Ice Age: Boiling Point”, marking a major return of the beloved prehistoric series. The announcement has sparked excitement among animation fans worldwide, with social media platforms buzzing with discussions about the franchise’s comeback.

While the plot details remain under wraps, early information suggests a major shift from the franchise’s traditional icy setting. This time, Manny, Sid, and Diego will reportedly venture into a dramatically transformed prehistoric world filled with volcanic heat, flowing lava, and dangerous terrain—offering a fresh experience compared to earlier films.

Disney has confirmed that “Ice Age: Boiling Point” will be released in theatres worldwide on February 5, 2027.

In a major highlight for fans, the original voice cast is also set to return. Ray Romano will reprise his role as Manny, John Leguizamo as Sid, Denis Leary as Diego, Simon Pegg as Buck, and Queen Latifah as Ellie.

The return of the franchise has been widely celebrated, with audiences expressing excitement over the reunion of the iconic characters after years of silence.
