Biplobi Chatra Moitri has formed its 6th council committee for the Dhaka University (DU) unit, electing Sami Abdullah as President and Zahidul Islam Riyad as General Secretary.
The 17-member committee was formed during the council session held on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Israt Jahan Emu has been elected as the Organizational Secretary of the new executive body.
The council was organized under the slogan: “Break the shackles of terrorism, education-commercialization, and imperialism through class-conscious education.” The session concluded with a unanimous vote to appoint the new leadership, who are expected to lead the organization’s activities within the university for the upcoming term. Following the announcement, various quarters have extended their greetings and congratulations to the newly elected leaders.
