After the Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, the Directorate of Primary Education has taken a special initiative to help students make up for lost learning time.
According to an order signed by Deputy Director Md. Zaynal Abedin on Tuesday (24 March), district primary education officers have been instructed to keep government primary schools open for 10 consecutive Saturdays once regular classes resume.
The order states that the school closures during Ramadan created gaps in students’ learning, and this measure aims to address that shortfall. Classes are set to resume from 29 March, after which the 10 Saturdays of regular instruction will be implemented.
This initiative follows the earlier Ramadan and Eid holidays, which began on 8 March across the country’s government primary schools.
