Government appoints new DCs in 5 districts

The government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in Gazipur, Panchagarh, Kushtia, Netrokona, and Chapainawabganj. This information was given in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Aminul Islam on Sunday (March 15).

The notification said that Deputy Secretary of the Local Government Department, Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan has been made DC of Gazipur, and Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works. Khandaker Mushfiqur Rahman has been made DC of Netrokona.

Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Md. Touhid Bin-Hasan has been given the responsibility of Kushtia and Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Mosa. Shukria Parveen has been given the responsibility of Panchagarh DC.

Besides, the Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, Abu Saleh Md. Musa Jangi has been posted as the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Chapainawabganj.

Earlier, the government withdrew the deputy commissioners of these five districts on March 1. The withdrawn deputy secretary-level officials were assigned to the Ministry of Public Administration for further posting.
