Government to Ensure Medical Services Based on Needs, Not Ability: Dr. Zubaida

The government will ensure that medical services are provided according to individual needs rather than financial capacity, said Dr. Zubaida Rahman, spouse of the Prime Minister, on Saturday evening. She made the remarks at an Iftar event organized by the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB).

Dr. Zubaida emphasized that upazila health centers will be developed as primary hubs for maternal, child, and newborn healthcare services.

During the event, Health Minister Mohammad Shahabawat Hossain urged all doctors to help eliminate middlemen from government hospitals, ensuring fair and efficient healthcare delivery. Additionally, State Minister for Health Dr. M. A. Muhit encouraged doctors to maintain a dedicated service attitude while treating patients.

Representatives of DAB called on all doctors to attend hospitals on time and provide regular care, assuring their support in fulfilling all legitimate patient needs.
