In a symbolic conclusion to the interim chapter of Bangladesh’s history, the official Facebook page of the Chief Adviser GOB has issued its final message. The page, which served as a vital bridge between the administration and the people following the July Revolution, announced its deactivation today.
The farewell post expressed deep gratitude to the citizens for their “support, cooperation, and criticism” over the past 18 months. Established on August 14, 2024, shortly after Professor Muhammad Yunus took office, the platform became a digital cornerstone for government updates and historic addresses to the nation.
“Your participation made our journey more valuable and enriched,” the statement read, issued on behalf of Professor Muhammad Yunus by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.
The closure of the page marks the formal end of the interim period. With a newly elected government taking charge yesterday, the digital presence of the Chief Adviser’s office is being “put to sleep,” signaling a peaceful and orderly transfer of power back to the people’s representatives.
