The announcement came on Monday at the Chief Returning Officer’s office in the Senate Building, where Revolutionary Students’ Unity central general secretary Jabir Ahmed Jubel formally introduced the panel. Jubel himself will contest for the post of Assistant General Secretary (AGS).

According to the declaration, the alliance is composed of Bangladesh Students’ Union, Socialist Students’ Front, Revolutionary Students’ Unity, Students’ Council, Students-Youth Movement, Hill Students’ Council, Democratic Students’ Platform, and general students.

From the alliance, Mozammel Haque, convener of Dhaka University unit of Socialist Students’ Front, has been nominated for the position of Liberation War and Democratic Movements Affairs Secretary. Other candidate names for remaining posts will be revealed in a press conference on Tuesday.
