Gayeshwar: Jamaat-e-Islami Has No Chance of Coming to Power in Bangladesh

BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has said that Jamaat-e-Islami will never be able to form a government in Bangladesh.

He remarked, “I am sure that Jamaat-e-Islami has no chance of coming to power in Bangladesh until the end of time.”

He made these comments during a discussion event held at the residence of Mir Sarfat Ali Sapu, Volunteer Affairs Secretary of the BNP Central Executive Committee, in Srinagar, Munshiganj, on Sunday afternoon.Criticizing Jamaat’s political strategy, Gayeshwar stated that Jamaat’s presence in India and Pakistan serves as clear proof of their failure to connect with the people. He further alleged that Jamaat refuses to understand the public’s voice, focusing solely on advancing their own interests.

According to him, the demands raised by Jamaat-e-Islami are designed only to disrupt the electoral process. He claimed that Jamaat cannot accept the possibility of BNP returning to power without the involvement of the Awami League, implying that Jamaat’s political tactics are aimed at creating obstacles in BNP’s path to forming a government.

BNP Central Executive Committee Joint Secretary General Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarfat Ali Sapu, and several other leaders and activists were also present at the event.
