In the middle of the night in Mirsharai, criminals held an employee at knifepoint and stole 40 goats from the farm of Jamaat leader Abu Hena Kaiser. The incident occurred late Tuesday night (February 17) near Nizampur Railway Station, in the Madhyam Wahedpur area of Wahedpur Union.
The farm owner, Abu Hena Kaiser, a resident of Haitkandi Union and Secretary for Industry and Trade of the Union Jamaat, informed that the matter has been reported to the local Nizampur Police Investigation Centre.
Abu Hena Kaiser said, “Although my home is in Haitkandi Union, I have been operating this goat farm in neighboring Wahedpur Union for the past two years. I have employees to take care of the farm. Last night, several criminals came to the farm in a vehicle, held one employee hostage at knifepoint, and stole 40 goats from the farm.”
He estimated the total market value of the stolen goats at around four lakh taka and said the police were informed verbally. He added that a written complaint will be filed if necessary.
Inspector Md. Zakir Hossain of Nizampur Police Investigation Centre stated, “We have received a verbal complaint regarding the theft of some goats from a farm and an employee being tied up. The crime scene has been inspected. Necessary legal action will be taken once a written complaint is submitted.”
