A 10-year-old girl named Morium, daughter of day laborer Md. Nurunnabi from Purba Palongpara, Ward 5 of Alikadam Sadar Union, was critically injured in a horrific accident yesterday (October 4).
According to locals, Morium fell from a beetar tree near her home in the afternoon. A sharp wooden trunk pierced through her abdomen, entering from one side and exiting the other, leaving her in a life-threatening condition.
She was immediately rushed to medical care, but her condition remains critical. Family members said their financial situation is extremely fragile, making it difficult to bear the costs of her treatment.
