Professor Dr. Prabhat Chandra Biswas has been appointed as the Acting Director General (DG) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The appointment was announced through a notification issued on Tuesday (March 10) by the Health Services Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Biswas served as a professor in the Department of Urology at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH).
The order, signed by Joint Secretary Sanjida Sharmin of the Par-2 branch of the Health Services Division, stated that the BCS (Health) cadre officer has been transferred and posted to the designated position and workplace mentioned alongside his name.
Issued by order of the President, the directive noted that the decision was taken in the public interest and will take effect immediately.
