The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has continued its tradition of sending Eid gifts to national cricketers, and this year, the initiative will also include their spouses and children.
The move, organized by BCB’s Cricket Operations Department, aims to strengthen relations between the board and players. Shahriar Nafis, manager of the department, said, “Our understanding with national players is always good, but adding this courtesy makes it warmer and improves communication further.”
This year, 30 cricketers who have represented the national team in any format over the past year will receive special gift packs along with their spouses.
Gifts include pajama–kurta sets from Pakistan’s popular brand Junaid Jamshed (J. Dot) for players, matching salwar–kameez sets for their wives, and chocolate boxes for their children.
This initiative follows last year’s gesture, when only cricketers’ wives received gifts, while players themselves were excluded. This year, BCB ensures the entire family shares in the Eid celebration.
