The US president has said that Iran’s new leadership wants to negotiate with his administration, and he plans to do so.
“They want to talk, and I’ve agreed to talk, so I’ll talk to them,” he was quoted as saying by The Atlantic magazine.
Trump added, “They should have done it earlier. They should have given it earlier, which was very practical and easy to do.”

He did not comment on when the talks would take place.
