PsychTalks, PCIU Debate Forum to Host Mental Health Dialogue at PCIU on Feb 3

PsychTalks, in collaboration with the Port City International University (PCIU) Debate Forum, is set to host a Mental Health Dialogue at PCIU on February 3, aiming to address the psychological challenges faced by university students.

The interactive session, titled “Mental Health Wellbeing in Student Life,” will take place from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the PCIU Auditorium. Renowned psychologist Noman Al Abdullah will lead the discussion, focusing on emotional resilience, personal growth, and academic wellbeing in student life.

Organisers say the initiative is designed to create a safe, non-judgmental space where students can openly discuss mental health concerns, ask questions, and reflect on their personal experiences without fear or stigma.

Participants can expect guidance on:

  • Building confidence and emotional resilience
  • Improving communication and coping skills
  • Resetting mental focus amid academic pressure

The event reflects a growing recognition of mental health as a crucial component of higher education, encouraging students to prioritise psychological wellbeing alongside academic success.

Gonotaar is joining the initiative as a media partner, supporting efforts to expand mental health literacy and ensure wider access to conversations around student wellbeing.

All students are invited to attend the session and engage in an open dialogue on mental health in university life.
