The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka has issued a message for students and exchange program participants intending to apply for F, M, or J category visas.
On Thursday (July 10), the embassy shared a visa-related notice on its official Facebook page.
The post states that all visa applicants are required to include the usernames or handles of all social media platforms they have used in the past five years in the DS-160 visa application form. Applicants must certify that all information provided in their application is accurate and truthful before signing and submitting it.
Failure to disclose social media information may result in visa denial and could also lead to ineligibility for future visa applications.
