Rakibul Islam Rakib, the central president of the Bangladesh Chhatra Dal, has said that financial institutions established by Jamaat-e-Islami, in collaboration with Islami Bank and other insurance companies, are operating bot armies after July-August. He said that instructions have been given to open ten fake IDs each and abuse those involved in opposition student politics on social media.
He made these comments at a form distribution program organized by Jagannath University Chhatra Dal on Thursday (June 26) to recruit members of the Chhatra Dal.
At that time, he said, Chhatra Shibir and Democratic Students’ Congress are being used as rehabilitation centers for Chhatra League. All the footage of the president and secretary of Jagannath University joining Chhatra League is preserved. The top leadership of Dhaka University’s Chhatra Shibir has direct positions in Chhatra League. Yesterday (Wednesday), when Shahriar Kabir, one of the leaders of Chhatra League at Government Bangla College, came to the campus, Chhatra Dal brothers handed him over to the police. The running general secretary of Bangla College rushed to save him. We condemn his carelessness towards Chhatra League. Later, ordinary students informed us that Shakib, the running general secretary of Chhatra Shibir, was directly involved in Chhatra League politics in the past. We saw his chat in the WhatsApp group of Bangla College Chhatra League.
Addressing the student wing, he further said that those who are involved in such hypocritical politics have a controversial role in 71. Those who have been doing deceptive politics with ordinary students for ages and in the post-July-August reality, Islami Bank, in collaboration with other insurance companies, are running a bot army with the help of financial institutions established by Jamaat-e-Islam. They have instructed their leaders and activists to open 10 fake IDs each and abuse the student politics that are against them on social media. Can they ever be the bearers of Islam?
