Florida’s Palm Beach International Airport is set to be renamed Donald Trump International Airport, officials confirmed. The announcement came from Eric Trump, son of former U.S. President Donald Trump, who shared on social media:
“Donald Trump International Airport. The new name is coming. Extremely proud.”
The renaming was approved after Florida’s governor signed a bill on Monday authorizing the change. However, the airport will require federal approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) before the new name becomes official.
Palm Beach, home to Trump’s private residence, has become the focal point for this decision. The move follows Florida’s 2025 plan to dedicate a library in Miami in honor of President Trump. The decision has been welcomed by Republicans but opposed by Democrats, according to reports from CBS News and India Times.
