Syed Uddin Ahmad Hanjala, Member of Parliament for Madaripur-1 representing the 11-party alliance, has claimed that he lost his shoes while performing prayers in the National Parliament.
Hanjala shared the incident on his verified Facebook page on Monday night around 9:00 pm. In his post, he wrote:
“Today, while performing prayers in Parliament, a funny incident happened! After finishing, I noticed that one of my shoes was gone, replaced by another shoe. Perhaps someone took it by mistake, and maybe my shoe is now on someone else’s foot!”
He added:
“These are the small, strange but beautiful moments in life. Whoever took it by mistake, may Allah bless you— and if you see this post, I would be happy to get my shoe back. Your shoe has already been kept safely.”
Hanjala was elected to the 13th National Parliament from Madaripur-1 as the Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis nominee, receiving 64,909 votes, narrowly defeating his closest rival, BNP nominee Nadira Akter, who received 64,524 votes.
