Tragedy has struck the Bengali entertainment industry as popular actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee passed away on Sunday evening. The 43-year-old actor reportedly drowned at Talsari sea beach near Digha while filming for an upcoming television serial.
According to reports from Anandabazar Patrika and Sangbad Pratidin, the incident occurred during the shooting of the serial Bhole Baba Paar Karega. While filming at Talsari, Rahul stepped into the water and was suddenly swept away. Although technicians and unit members rushed to his rescue and recovered him from the water, he was later declared dead upon arrival at Digha Hospital.

Born on October 16, 1983, Rahul Arunoday Banerjee began his acting career on stage, performing in nearly 450 plays. He catapulted to mainstream stardom with his debut film, Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, which was a massive box-office success in West Bengal.
