Prime Minister Tarique Rahman made an unscheduled visit to the Secretariat on Sunday morning to ensure timely attendance of officials and staff. He arrived shortly after 9:00 AM and, instead of heading directly to his office in the Cabinet Division, conducted direct inspections of various ministries.
He first visited Building 6, inspecting the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources and speaking with officials and staff. He then toured other floors in the same building, including the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, and Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
Next, he visited Building 5, inspecting the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, and Building 3, where he checked the Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In total, he conducted surprise inspections of at least eight ministries before returning to the Cabinet Division.
As part of his day’s schedule, the Prime Minister is also set to chair a meeting on Farmer Cards, which will include ministers, state ministers, and officials from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
