Barrister Kaiser Kamal Elected Deputy Speaker of 13th Parliament

Barrister Kaiser Kamal has been elected as the Deputy Speaker of the 13th National Parliament. His name was proposed by Whip M Ruhul Quddus Talukdar Dulu and supported by Whip ABM Ashraf Uddin Nizam. The proposal was put to a vote by the presiding officer, Dr. Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, and passed unanimously by voice vote.

Kaiser Kamal, a land minister since 17 February, won a decisive victory in the Netrokona-1 (Kalmakanda-Durgapur) constituency in the 13th parliamentary elections.

Born on 31 December 1972 in Chatrangpur, Kalmakanda, Netrokona, he grew up in a family engaged in public service and politics. His father, Mustafa Kamal Mansur, and mother, Begum Zobaida Kamal, influenced his early interest in civic leadership.

Kaiser Kamal earned a master’s degree in History from Dhaka University before pursuing higher education in the United Kingdom, where he obtained a Barrister-at-Law degree. Alongside a successful legal career, he has been actively involved in politics since his student years.
