Trump Says He Has ‘A Plan for Everything’ as Oil Prices Rise Amid Iran War

US President Donald Trump has said he has “a plan” to deal with rising global oil prices triggered by the ongoing war involving Iran, the United States and Israel, assuring that the American public will ultimately benefit.

Speaking in a brief phone interview with the New York Post on Monday (March 9), the 10th day of the conflict, Trump acknowledged that tensions with Iran were pushing oil prices higher but insisted he had a strategy to address the situation.

“I have a plan for everything,” Trump said.

He expressed confidence that once implemented, the plan would make Americans “very happy” and bring oil prices down.

Warning Over Strait of Hormuz

Trump also issued a strong warning to Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil shipping route. He said the United States would respond with overwhelming force if Iran attempted to disrupt oil tanker traffic through the strait.

“If Iran does anything that stops the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, the United States will hit them 20 times harder than we have already,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.

He further warned that such a move could bring “death, fire and fury” upon Iran.

Conflict Could End Soon

During the interview, Trump suggested that the ongoing tensions or war with Iran could end quickly, adding that he had predicted this outcome well ahead of schedule.

However, he acknowledged concerns about the possibility that Iran might attempt to block the Strait of Hormuz or disrupt oil tanker movement, which could further destabilize global energy markets.

Meeting With Republican Lawmakers

Trump made the remarks after attending a three-day conference with House Republicans at the ballroom of his golf club in Doral, South Florida.

He also claimed that countries such as China and others should see his tough stance against Iran as a “gift,” arguing that it would help maintain global oil supply and protect vital sea routes.
