Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended an Iftar Mahfil organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami this evening. The Prime Minister arrived at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Exhibition Center around 5:30 PM to join the event.
Speaking at the gathering, Tarique Rahman emphasized the importance of national unity during this critical juncture for the country. “We have all gathered at a significant time for the nation,” he stated. “The journey of democracy has commenced through the recent elections. It is through the sacrifices and endurance of thousands of people that we have been able to restore democracy.”
Addressing the attendees, the Prime Minister highlighted the expectations of the citizenry, urging for collective commitment toward national development. “The people of this country are looking toward us with great expectations. Let us take an oath in the name of the Almighty to work for the betterment of the people’s future. May the Almighty grant us the ability to serve the people of our nation.”
The event saw the participation of various senior political leaders, including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman, who joined the Prime Minister in the observance.
