Prime Minister Tarique Rahman officially worked from the Armed Forces Division at Dhaka Cantonment for the first time on Monday morning. She arrived at her office around 9:00 am, confirmed Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.
On arrival, the Prime Minister was welcomed by the three service chiefs. She exchanged greetings and, following the day’s schedule, presented ‘rank badges’ to Lieutenant General Mir Mushfiqur Rahman and Major General Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury.
The ceremony was attended by top officials, including:
- Brigadier General Dr. AKM Shamsul Islam, Defence Adviser to the Prime Minister
- General Waker-uz-Zaman, Army Chief
- Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hasan, Navy Chief
- Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, Air Force Chief
- Md. Ashraf Uddin, Defence Secretary
- Saleh Shibli, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister
- Atikur Rahman Rumon, Additional Press Secretary
- Md. Mehedul Islam, PM’s Private Secretary-2
The visit marks the Prime Minister’s inaugural office presence at the Armed Forces Division, highlighting her direct engagement with the military leadership.
