A delegation representing various ethnic minority communities paid a courtesy call on Tarique Rahman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), on Sunday night.
The meeting took place at approximately 9:00 PM at the BNP Chairman’s political office in Gulshan. The information was confirmed by Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP Media Cell.
During the meeting, Tarique Rahman exchanged pleasantries and engaged in a cordial discussion with the representatives. As a gesture of respect and cultural significance, the members of the ethnic minority communities presented him with traditional hill tracts attire, which he wore during the interaction.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was also present during the meeting.
The visit is seen as part of a series of meetings the BNP Chairman has been holding with various social and professional groups since assuming the role of party Chairman earlier this month.
